Featuring a Gemstone design, the Acer Aspire 5920 might catch your interest. The Apsire 5920 recieves Intel’s Centrino Duo platform. The laptop is expected to feature Core 2 Duo processors with 800 Mhz FSB support, 802.11n wi-fi connectivity, and Intel’s Turbo memory to increase system performance. Acer’s new notebook is offered with up to 4GB of DDR2 system memory. With its large 15.4” widescreen and it’s HD DVD-ROM you can enjoy your HD DVD collection. The notebook will use Nvidia’s DirectX 10-ready GeForce 8600-GT video card which includes an HDMI output port to provide amazing graphics and awesome gaming performance. As and added option you can also include a DVB-T TV Tuner to to watch and record off-the-air signals to Windows Vista’s MCE interface. The 5920 has Dolby Home Theater Virtual Surround Sound speakers.
Regarding Internet and connectivity, Acer’s 5920 features 802.11 a/b/g/n wireless and Gigabit Ethernet. On selected models, the Aspire 5920 features the Acer Bluetooth ExpressCard VoIP phone.
Currently, there is no information on the Acer 5920 “Gemstone’s” ports and slots, but it is known it has 5-in-1 media card reader and an ExpressCard slot.
Future designs are expected to feature banding patterns which resemble various polished rocks and minerals that are laminated into the cover.
The pricing and availability dates are currently unknown.

Hewlett-Packard today announced HP Pavilion HDX entertainment laptop computer featuring a 20.1-inch widescreen display, Intel “Santa Rosa” platform, new Intel Core 2 Duo processor, new ATI’s Mobility Radeon X2600 XT graphics, HD DVD drive, HDTV tuner, HDMI output and a dockable Media Center remote control.
“The HP Pavilion HDX Series Entertainment Notebook PC is HP’s biggest consumer notebook to date. Redefining the home PC experience, the HP Pavilion HDX is a home theater, notebook PC and performance-class desktop combined in a sleek, elegant design. HP Pavilion HDX’s display has 1680 x 1050 resolution and is powered by the ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600 XT with 256MB GDDR3 (dedicated) and a total of up to 2048MB of graphics memory using shared system RAM. The notebook features Intel Centrino Duo processor technology with Intel Core 2 Duo T7700 CPU at 2.4GHz. The Pavilion HDX supports up to 4GB of main DDR2 memory and up to 400GB of data storage capacity using two hard drives. There is also a HD DVD ROM with DVD burning capabilities, as well as Altec Lansing speakers - “4 Panel Mounted and integrated HP Triple Bass Reflex Sub-Wolfer supporting up to 7.1 external speaker configurations”.
The HP’s largest notebook features Integrated HP HDTV Hybrid TV Tuner NTSC/ATSC with F-Jack adaptor input, S-Video Input, stereo audio input.
Regarding networking and connectivity, it has an integrated Gigabit Ethernet LAN, Intel PRO 4965AGN (with 802.11n draft) wireless connection and a Bluetooth, but there will be no standard data/fax modem included.
HP’s HDX “Dragon” has four USB ports, HDMI, VGA and S-Video outputs, Firewire and eSATA port, ExpressCard slot and a fingerprint reader.
Its remote controller docks to the left of a full-size keyboard with integrated numeric keypad.
The Pavilion HDX, which has an exclusive new “Dragon” HP Imprint finish, weighs approximately 15.5lbs and will ship with Windows Vista preinstalled.
The HDX Series notebook starts at $2,999 and is planned to be available for purchase this summer.

Asus is going to reveal new multimedia and gaming laptops in vast range of 13.1″ up to 17″ displays with Santa Rosa (also called Centrino Pro) platform and new NVIDIA GeForce Go 8000 series video cards.
NVIDIA GeForce Go 8000 series are new powerful graphics card for the laptop computers with Santa Rosa platform. Yet, there is not detailed information about this graphics but we just know that provide DirectX 10 and high-definition video capabilities for next generation gaming and multimedia laptop notebooks.
The DirectX 10 is the Microsoft’s latest suite of multimedia application programming interfaces (APIs), which improves computer’s in-game and multimedia performance.
