A robot RAYERED-X (pronounced as: LAYERED-X) is one of the robots presented on “Robo-One” robot competition. It is an innovative robot with four extremities, consisting of gears. It gives a robot neither much nor little 28 additional movements. A skeleton of robot RAYERED-X is an aluminium construction, 50 cm height, weight is a little more than 3,5 kg.
Unfortunately, in a competition «Robo-one» on the demonstration stage of RAYERED-X occupied only 24 place.
On the face of it a robot RAYERED-X looks like a low tower, after transformation - he reminds a merry-go-around, then he looks like a spider, and, finally, he becomes a two-legged robot-warrior. A robot can even transform the hand in a new leg. In general, hands and feet for this model are concepts conditional, because there is not a clear division between them.
MobileMag: “nVidia may not make any cell phones of their own, but the interface that they have created should be highly sought after. It’s silky smooth and — dare I say — maybe even Apple iPhone-like. In the video which you can view below, we’ll see a user scan through the various menu items on a rolling conveyor belt, jumping into a samurai-themed fighting game, a photo slideshow, and other multimedia content that every mobile phone should have these days. The 3D windows and fun animations will be reminiscent of Windows Vista’s aero effects.”
And here you can see video presenting a new interface:
